Gloss addicts will love this! Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss is the perfect balance between color and shine. I think this product draws attention to the lips but doesn't go over the top.
I'm not really the kind that gives importance to packaging but with high end brands, you can't help but notice. This is no exception with its sleek, black tube. It weighs more than your regular tube of gloss but it's so pretty that it's forgivable.
The applicator seems a bit strange to me - it's a like a regular doe-foot kind that was flattened. And because of that, the way you apply the product and maneuver the wand will be slightly different from the regular tip. It also controls the amount of product dispensed - after the first go, I always need to go back and get more. Unlike Chanel's Rouge Allure Laque which tends to dispense more than what I need.
The gloss itself is a bit on the heavy side and although it feels smooth, there's a hint of stickiness to it. It's not the kind of sticky that feels uncomfortable and obvious... subtle and necessary is what it is. I feel that the formula was made that way in order for longer wear. On average, I can wear this for two hours.
I have two more shades that I'm saving for future posts... but I'd like to know what's your favorite Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss shade?

this is such a gorgeous shade <3
