Guerlain Rouge G L'Extrait is a product similar to Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in that they are both lip cremes. I'll be comparing these products in this quick review because each has their advantages and some points which may make all the difference, depending on your preference.
Let's begin with the packaging. Although Guerlain's tube is considerably larger than Chanel, both contain 6ml of product. I guesstimate that Guerlain's packaging weighs more than twice that of Chanel but feels more luxurious. The fact that it has a mirror is great if this is the only makeup you care to carry in your purse. Chanel's packaging is sleek and light - perfect for days when I don't want to be weighed down by my bag.
Both products have excellent color payoff that a single swipe is enough. Chanel's formula feels more wet compared to Guerlain. However, I noticed that this quality makes Guerlain's wear time a little bit longer. In any case, both are very comfortable and feel velvety.
The verdict: Both are great lip cremes and I love them equally, for different reasons. If you've compared both products, I'd love to hear your thoughts as well!
