One of the ladies I met through a soaper's group sold a few pots of Butterfly Pea plants last Summer. I purchased two from her, out of curiosity. It was a buck each anyway. No flowers yet at that time and it took a few months before my first bloom (above) appeared. Isn't it gorgeous?
IOPE is a high-end brand in Korea famous for their cushion foundation. Its the brand's best-seller. I haven't read about their skincare products but I was curious because it seemed good.
As I'm on a self-imposed beauty no-buy, I've been going through my stash of products a lot slower than I used to. Excited as I was 18 months ago to try out the IOPE products I purchased, I had to restrain myself. It's only recently that I was able to get the IOPE set out since I ran out of other products. The Enzyme Powder is the first one up for review.

Thanks to the popularity of Bioderma, we're seeing a lot of cleansing waters pop up from different brands. Now, I do love my Bioderma Sensibio but I feel that it costs more than what its worth. I've tried Biore, which is more affordable, I like it but it left a bit of a film on my skin. In search of a happy medium, I've come across the cleansing water of korean brand The Saem.
There's no denying how much I love Rouge Bunny Rouge. Their products look and feel luxurious, it never disappoints. I'm pretty stoked to find out one of the products for Autumn is the Caliche Eyeshadow Palette.
It took me a long time to make up my mind on what the Hada Labo Tokyo Replenishing Hydrator is. Is it a moisturiser? Serum? What? I still can't quite figure it out. That being said, I still like it.
Eye skincare is probably one of the trickiest products (for me) to review. Sometimes, we can only feel the difference and more often than not, what we feel does not translate to outward changes. That does not apply to The Saem Urban Eco Harakeke Eye Serum - let me tell you why...
Suffering from adult acne, hyperpigmentation and rosacea can be frustrating. Dealing with scars from cystic acne, uneven skin tone, dry and rough skin. It's a vain woman's nightmare - my nightmare. Haha!
I've gotten a lot of help from Laneige White Plus Renew Original Essence, which I have been using for about three years. Side note, I can't believe I only wrote about this now. I was in a desperate place, having multiple cystic acne (at most, 11 at the time time!) and scars took forever to fade. Reapplying concealer is not something I remember to do and would rather find a way to make the scars go away for good. There was an ad for this product and thought to myself, what the heck...

Skincare has been my primary focus the last couple of years because I'm not getting any younger and I need to take extra care of it. So here's this year's first empties post - most of these are products I would purchase again and there's one that's just meh.
Let's do this by order. Keep in mind, I have dehydrated skin and these work well for me.

Sometimes we need to reboot to get things to work again.
I wanted a different look for the blog and at the same time, veer away from blogging exclusively about beauty products. Because I have other things to share too.
I did not delete my old blog posts. I just moved. They can still be found here.
Ok, that's it for now.
