Kanebo Suisai Beauty Clear Powder

This really isn't a review but more of an FYI type of post.

Now...

Cleansing powders are the bomb. At least I haven't met one I didn't like. Let me introduce you to a new one - Kanebo Suisai Beauty Clear Powder.

I've seen this mentioned in Meejmuse's YouTube channel a few times and based on my experience with Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant and IOPE Enzyme Powder, I was pretty sure I'd like this too.

Powder cleansers basically work this way: Dispense the product on the palm of your hand. Add a few drops of water and mix until you get a paste like consistency and wash your face. So far, the three brands I've tried (including this) have been kind to my skin - no abrasive feeling, gently exfoliating and always leaves my skin feeling polished and radiant.

Suisai is more similar to Dermalogica in its absence of noticeable fragrance. Otherwise, all three have no glaring difference on how it works and feels on the skin.

The above photo is the trial pack which contains 15 pods. The full-sized one, if memory serves me right, contains 32 pods. Regarding the price - well, various pharmacies had different prices even if they belonged to the same chain! Very confusing. It sells on Amazon at an average of $25 USD for the full price but I'm pretty sure I paid less than that.

  3. I used one not too long ago and while I LOVE the convenience I don't know that I'd want to have it every day - maybe more just when I travel. That's crazy that the pricing is so all over the place though!

  5. How fun! Good to hear that they're not gritty, and I like that they won't lather much.

  9. The packaging of this is a lot of fun. I've not tried an actual powder but a pill-form that was crushed and you add water to make a paste. I found that one too harsh so I'm curious about those that start out in powder form.

  12. I have never heard of cleansing powders before. This doesn't look like enough to clean a face though.
